The Southern Style Offroad rear bumper for the 2016-2023 Tacoma is built from 3/16 inch American steel plate with a hidden hitch that raises your rear departure angle by 6 inches over the factory hitch. It's designed to match the Southern Style Offroad Hybrid Slimline front bumper if you're running one, and it keeps OEM towing capacity so you're not giving up anything to run an aftermarket bumper.

Hidden Hitch for Better Departure Angle

The hitch is tucked up into the bumper instead of hanging down below it like the factory hitch. This gives you 6 inches more departure angle, which means you can back up over obstacles without smacking the hitch into rocks or logs. The hitch is reinforced with 1/4 inch thick steel and a tube design, and the shackle mounts are 3/4 inch thick. You're not losing towing capacity. It's still rated to OEM spec.

Reverse Light Cutouts for Flush Mount Lights

The bumper has cutouts in the reverse light locations so you can mount Baja Designs S2 flush mount lights, Diode Dynamics Stage Series flush mount lights, or Sylvania 4 inch flush mount lights. The lights sit flush with the bumper instead of sticking out on brackets.

Flip-Up License Plate Bracket

The license plate bracket flips up so you can access the hitch or fold it out of the way when you're not running a plate. It's not permanently mounted in one position.

Available in Powder Coat or Raw Finish

The bumper's available with a black powder coat finish or in raw steel if you want to paint it yourself or leave it raw. The powder coat's durable and holds up to rocks and brush, but the raw finish gives you the option to match your truck's paint or run it uncoated.
