Southern Style OffRoad – Limited Warranty Policy
Warranty Coverage
Southern Style OffRoad (SSO) warrants all products we manufacture under the Southern Style OffRoad brand to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the applicable warranty period defined below. This limited warranty is extended only to the original retail purchaser, is effective for as long as they own the product, and is not transferable. Proof of purchase is required.
Warranty Periods
- SSO Front Bumpers, Rear Bumpers, and Rock Sliders: 3-year limited warranty
- All other SSO branded products: 1-year limited warranty
The warranty period begins on the date of original retail purchase.
What Is Covered
This warranty covers manufacturing defects such as:
- Failing or broken welds
- Improper fitment due to manufacturing error
- Other defects in material or craftsmanship
What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by:
- Normal wear and tear, scratches, or rust
- Accidents, improper use, overloading, poor maintenance
- Improper winching or recovery techniques
- Trail or highway hazards, rock impacts, or misuse
- Installation not in accordance with SSO guidelines
- Modifications or alterations to the product
- Use of third-party accessories or components not approved by SSO
- Costs related to removal, installation, or transportation
- Acts of nature (hail, flood, lightning, etc.)
- Powder coat finish (touch-up kits are available on our website)
Any product that has been installed, modified, or altered in any way is no longer eligible for warranty coverage.
Shipping Damage
Products damaged during shipping are the responsibility of the shipping carrier. However, Southern Style OffRoad will work with both the carrier and the customer to help resolve such issues. Please retain all packaging and contact us immediately upon receipt if damage is suspected.
Authorized Dealer Purchases
If your item was purchased from an authorized SSO reseller and not directly from Southern Style OffRoad, please contact the reseller for warranty support. You may still contact us for assistance, but your request must include the name of the reseller, a copy of your receipt, and all relevant order information. Depending on the situation, SSO may coordinate directly with the reseller or direct you to resolve your claim through them.
Making a Warranty Claim
To submit a warranty claim:
- Email us at info@southernstyleoffroad.com
- Include your proof of purchase, order number, product description, and a detailed description of the issue
- Attach clear photographs of the defect and the product in its installed or uninstalled state
We will evaluate your claim and respond with next steps within 10 business days.
Remedy
If a product is determined to be defective under warranty, Southern Style OffRoad may, at its sole discretion:
- Replace the defective component or product
- Issue a partial or full refund
- Provide alternate resolution
Replacement parts or products do not reset or extend the original warranty period.
Shipping Costs and Labor
Customers are responsible for shipping products to Southern Style OffRoad unless otherwise approved in writing. Return shipping may be covered in cases where the product is confirmed to be defective due to SSO’s error. SSO is not responsible for any removal, installation, or labor costs related to warranty claims.
Refund Timing for Warranty Claims
If a refund is issued as part of a warranty claim, it will be processed back to the original payment method and may take up to 14 business days from the date we receive the return or warranty part. Your financial institution may require additional time to post the credit.
Limitation of Liability
Southern Style OffRoad shall not be liable for any incidental, indirect, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the product, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Jurisdiction
This warranty is governed by the laws of the state in which Southern Style OffRoad is headquartered. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that state.
